November 13, 2024 - Openroom in thousands of SingleKey’s tenant screening reports across Canada

SingleKey and Openroom are partnering to empower landlords with more information about their prospective tenants so they can safely choose the best fit for their rental property.

This means that court orders from Openroom’s extensive, crowdsourced database will be collected in a detailed tenant screening report from SingleKey, providing landlords with enhanced data to identify potential tenant red flags.

November 3, 2024 - Has the rental debt hit Equifax to negatively impact credit history? YES!

Through Openroom’s verification process, landlords can confirm that unpaid rental debt has been reported to Equifax using the Openroom Rental Debt Ledger, providing transparency and a sense of accountability.

When Openroom hits the Equifax credit report for unpaid rent, 5 distinct attributes are shown.

1. It's under the COLLECTIONS section.

2. It says OPENROOM.CA RENTDEBT.

3. It says the Landlord's name.

4. It says the amount owing.

5. It indicates it is UNPAID.

September 6, 2024 - Rental Debt Ledger

Launched public access to the Rental Debt Ledger, in partnership with Equifax

• Openroom tracks interest owed on the N4/L1 LTB Order with rental debt owing. Heck, every cent matters.
• In partnership with Equifax, we report the rental debt owing on your behalf every 15th of the month to hit your tenant's credit score and credit history negatively until they pay. They need to be held accountable for their actions.

• Count of orders in the system
